It could be Vinyl, leather or Velour. Most classic car interiors are usually retrimmed with original materials. Some exceptions are new owners who prefer leather or velour to the original vinyl.

In the hotter countries the vinyls become hot and make the passengers sweat. A nice set of cloth seat covers will fix this problem.

It could be a Mk 2 Ford Zephyr with a Zodiac grille fitted of course. A lot of people fitted the Ford Zodiac grilles to Ford Zephyrs.

The car is also an early model because of the thin chrome fittings on the screen and the painted headlight surrounds.

What has happened to all the classic cars in general. The car companies are in trouble and they are selling cars which have no appeal. Bring back the fins.

Restorations of these cars generate a huge amount of interest amongst people of varying walks of life.

There’s nothing better than going to a car show or swap meet and swapping yarns with other enthusiasts, and finding out some more little bits of information about your classic. Then it’s off home to see if the information and or parts deliver the goods or not.
