Depending on how much time you have available it is always a bit of an adventure to visit the junk yard with a mate or two. It’s always good to have a second pair of hands to hold the head of a bolt while you are undoing the nut on the other side. Sure enough, if you are on your own the bolt will spin and you cannot reach the bolt head or get a spanner to stay there while yo undo the nut. So, that second pair of hands is almost a necessity. Don’t forget to take a bag to lie on, a wire brush to clean rusty threads with and an oil can. A small and medium size shifter and some relevant sized ring spanners together with a bannister brush to clear away cobwebs and leaves and dust from the work area. A tin of pressure pack DWF is also needed.
