Classic car shows provide leads and links

Generally classic car shows are held annually and the people administering the clubs involved have to work very hard to organize everything so that the event runs smoothly on the day.

They have to make sure that the word is well and truly out and that the date is fixed. Sometimes the weather may frown on the events, but it takes a lot to dampen the spirits of enthusiasts.

Rockhampton Venue

One event coming up at Easter 2006 is being hosted by the SEQ All Chrysler Connections Car Club Inc. On Easter Saturday they are meeting at the Historical Village on the Northern Highway at Parkhurst.

These classic car shows generate a tremendous amount of interest in classic cars.

They intend to have a Super Cruize, Swap meet and a show and shine. Sounds like an interesting day and weekend.

The sunfire yellow charger below (EEE-48) is owned by John and Christine Watson from Home Hill.

We hope you people were not affected by the recent cyclone.

Christine advises that this car was originally bought as a parts car, through a local saturday morning paper ad.

They have owned this car for 7 years and it has taken them 18 months to restore it. It's great to see the car in such good condition now.
