When people talk about searching or looking for something these days they indicate that they will “Google” it. No wonder that Google is by far the largest internet search engine, followed by Yahoo, Live and Ask. So, don’t forget when you are looking for that Classic Car for sale or wanted ad you can’t go wrong if you use Google to find it. There are other mediums of course, but they do not have the vast database of information that Google and Yahoo have, and therefore may not be able to provide the most relevant information for you. For the page at Ford Zephyr Clubs As at January 24, 2009, a google search for the phrase “ford zephyr clubs” presently shows the link above at number 1 on the first page of results and there is also a number 5 listing for an article which I have written on Searchwarp. Searchwarp is an article site where you can join and write and submit an article to them. You can write an article about the restoration of your Pontiac, Oldsmobile, Chevy, Ford, Holden or whatever make of car you own. A page does not always show in exactly the same spot. Sometimes pages move back down the search results while others move up. However, if your websites pages are properly optimised, and the keywords are in the best positions the page will continue to maintain a good placing. Shortly this “Internet Search Engines” page will begin to show some rankings and people searching on Google, will be able to find it. But it may take some weeks before the process of submitting, spidering and listing is complete.
While Google is by far the largest search engine some searchers have preferences. They may like to search on Yahoo only, or Live or Ask etc. Search Google here. SearchYahoo here. Search Live here. Search Ask here. However, as indicated before when the search is conducted through engines with smaller databases the results may not be as relevant. It depends on how some smaller engines provide the results though, as some of them default to Google or Yahoo. So you may get Google or Yahoo results even though you search through a smaller engine. The only difference may be is if the smaller engine is a little slower to provide the information and also they do not sometimes provide the same results.
