The Rocky Swap 2010 is a combined venture between Rockhampton Rotary North and the All Classic Motor Club CQ Inc., and is held at the Rockhampton Show Grounds.

The Rocky Swap is a very interesting event and for many years has provided all sorts of odds and ends, from old milk drums to powerful v8 engines. You just never know what you may find, and if you are not there that item which you have been searching for will once again be lost.

Here’s a paper article depicting Cathy Carroll who together with her husband Doug have petrol memorabilia and handcrafts.

The weather is shaping up very well, although a little cool for Wednesday 4th August 2010, however that most likely means a fine cool day for the swap on Saturday.

Lets hope that huge numbers of people will turn out to make it the greatest swap day yet. They say there are nearly 1000 stalls.

Howard Weier has a knack of being noticed by the Morning Bulletin regarding bits and pieces he has to take to the Annual Rocky Swap.

This year he has an old dunny (outhouse) up for grabs complete with redback spiders. Make sure you have plenty of spider spray before you buy it.

Once again Howard will have his trusty stove there to make make some scones and cook a leg of mutton.
